Mixed Emotions

As Mother’s Day approaches, I am filled with mixed emotions. Each year, I focus on the beautiful celebration of my three children. I am over the moon excited about the young adults they are becoming. They are beaming with confidence and are blessed with so many gifts. They fill my days with joy and laughter… I can’t imagine a better gift!  Yet, while my heart is filled with love, as this special day approaches, there is a small dark cloud that always lingers, leaving my emotions a bit unsettled… Continue reading “Mixed Emotions”

My Journey Through Art

I love paint!  I have always loved paint!  Growing up, if Dad had a painting project, I was his girl.  By the end of the day, Dad’s task would always be finished with pride.  But, I was consistently left covered, from head to toe, in a rainbow of colors and probably wasted more paint than Dad would have liked.  To this day, I end up having as much paint on me as I do on the canvas.  Everything I do, I do with love and passion! Spread Kindness

A weekend filled with kindness…

My Perspective…

Last Fall, Wifey and I spent the weekend in Indianapolis.  Keep in mind, we love to travel, but finding healthy and fresh meal options can be extremely difficult. Fortunately, we discovered a wonderful little farm to table restaurant, called Napolese Pizzeria. It was bustling and quaint, all at the same time. Continue reading “Spread Kindness”

Indigo Acres: A Dream Come True

I have always had a passion for animals. I remember when I was a little girl, I would bring my dog Tiffany into my bedroom (even though I wasn’t suppose to) and close the door. I would tell her my most precious secrets. She would never tell a soul and would listen for hours. She loved me for me and never expected me to be anyone else. Tiffany was always happy to see me, regardless of my mood or how I looked. When I think back on my closest friends throughout school, Tiffany, my little black cock-a-poo, was at the top of my list.

Love is Love

Ten years ago today marks the beginning of forever.  Granted, at the time, I thought I was just going out to dinner and shopping with a new friend. We connected over gardening and both had a passion for irises. Funny how life threw a me curve ball!  I am amazed at how one simple evening made everything begin to fall into perspective.  Things that never made sense to me were becoming clear. Granted, this took time, but that one evening allowed me to begin my “journey of self”.  I began to blossom.  I felt comfortable and content in my own skin.  I felt a pull…a connection.  I could just Be MeContinue reading “Love is Love”

The Gift of April!

Weekly Kindness Challenge!

I can’t think of a better way to kick off this week than with a kindness challenge. Who wouldn’t be up for sprinkling a little JOY here and there! For me, it is the little things in life that mean the most.  There is nothing more heart warming than discovering an unexpected card or a letter in the mailbox!  I am filled with joy when I send a friend a special gift, knowing how much they will appreciate it. Rise by lifting others… Continue reading “Weekly Kindness Challenge!”

A Collection of Gratitude

Gratitude is defined as the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful. This is such a simple definition for such a powerful term.  As I try to put into words the meaning of gratitude, I fall short.  Gratitude makes me feel.  Gratitude makes me see.   I have discovered that, for me, gratitude is a way of life…a journey of self.  Since my words are unable to give justice to this magical term, I though my photography just might… Continue reading “A Collection of Gratitude”
