The Buck Moon

Today is July’s magical full moon day. We will also have a bonus lunar eclipse! July’s full moon is called the Buck Moon.  Male deer, which shed their antlers each year, begin to regrow them in July, hence the Native American name for this month’s full moon. This moon can also be referred to as the Thunder Moon or the Hay Moon.

The full moon of July is a wonderful reminder to relax and recharge.  Take time for yourself, and do what you love.  What brings you joy? Schedule time in your day for you.  Self care should always be at the top of your daily list. What will you do for YOU today?

“Like poetry, the Moon reflects the phrases we go through.  From our darkest hours until we again shine brightly.  The art is to embrace the wholeness of each cycle, dancing the rhythms of life.”  ~Tara Isis Gerris
