Signs of Spring

What is it about Spring that inspires me to begin new and exciting projects!?  For the past few years, Wifey and I have been discussing new furniture for the upper deck. Because 2017 was consumed with house and pool renovations, I could not fathom another project, regardless of the size!  But, a few months have passed, and Spring Fever has my creative juices flowing. I can’t think of a better way to welcome Spring than with an outdoor deck project!

With the Jeep and trailer full, we looked a bit like the Beverly Hillbillies!

When I begin a project, I like it finished, ASAP.  I was determined to have everything put together before we went to bed. We started after evening chores were finished, at about 8:30 p.m., and finished at 2:00a.m.!

It was cold outside, so the dining room and living room became our work space. I have some very humorous photos of Wifey, playing the role of a human vise grip, but she had veto power, so you will have to use your imagination!

Making Progress…

Sometimes, a few snacks help with a power project!

By 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, the table and four chairs, gas fire pit and sectional were assembled.  We continued Sunday, adding the cobalt blue fire glass, accessories and solar twinkle lights along the gutters and umbrella.  I am waiting for my swinging egg chair to be delivered this week.  Once that arrives, all of the furnishings will be complete!

Once the temperatures warm up, we will be able to add our potted flowers and shrubs.  I am so excited to enjoy this beautiful outdoor space, with friends and family!  If you are ever in town, stop by and enjoy some great conversation and some extra strong grape juice!  Don’t forget your swim suits, too!

Wherever you are located, I hope you are enjoying the changing of the seasons!  Grab your camera and share how you are celebrating the Signs of Spring…

Love Yourself…Embrace Yourself…Just Be You…
