Signs of Spring Photo Challenge

I am filled with excitement for today is March 1st!  This means that I have survived another Michigan Winter!  Woo-Hoo! Yesterday was a balmy 57 degrees!  Granted, there is going to be rain and accumulating snow today, but it is still March and this means that Spring is near.  These bright blue chionodoxa are proof that Spring is in the air!

With that being said, I think it is time to celebrate change and embrace this beautiful time of year!  Each day, for the month of March, I will be sharing my “Signs of Spring” from West Michigan.  Grab your camera and join me in celebrating the coming of this beautiful time of year…

To kick off this glorious month, take a trip outside tonight and gaze up at the beautiful full moon, known as the “Worm Moon”.  As the temperatures begin to rise, the critters wake up and early planting begins.  The Worm Moon represents a seed’s potential.  A literal meaning for gardeners and a figurative meaning, on a personal level.  It is time to clear away old growth, making room for new growth and allowing inspiration to blossom.  There is nothing better than a chilly night, twinkling stars and a stunning full moon for inspiration!  If you take a peek at the moon tonight, know I will be saying “hello” to you from Michigan skies!

“No matter how far away we are from each other in distance or in time,

when we look up into the clear night sky, we will always see the same moon.”

~Adam Stanley

  1. We have got your Michigan winter weather here in the UK. Temps not expected to be above freezing even during the day for the next week. But I will do my best to take part in this challenge – I love the idea!

  2. I’ve made a habit of taking a picture of the full moon every month for about 2 or 3 years now. You can see some of them on my blog. I love putting my intentions out there for the Universe to catch and carry. It is pouring rain here though so I’m not sure I’ll be able to see it.
