The Gift of Gratitude: Winter Rainbows

The Gift of Gratitude Day 27: Winter Rainbows

12-26-17 004

Winter has truly arrived in Michigan!  It is COLD!  This morning was a balmy -6 degrees!  Thank goodness there was minimal to no wind.  As I filled the bird feeders, before heading out to the barn, I felt warmth inside, for there was blue sky and sun was shining. I turned to the sun and closed my eyes, taking in her rays for just a moment.  When I opened my eyes, I noticed a little rainbow shining on the horizon!   Can you spot it? What a magical gift on the day after Christmas!

I made my way out to the barn to feed the animals, knowing they would be cold and hungry.  As soon as they heard my boots, crunching in the snow, the let me know that I needed to move a bit faster!  After feeding Magic and Velvet, I closed the paddock gate and noticed my little rainbow again! Can you spot it?

These bitter, cold days are a bit more challenging on the farm, but today there was some extra warmth! I am so thankful that the sun was shining and there was a little magic in the air!  I hope your day is filled with sunshine and rainbows, too!
