The Gift of Gratitude: Snow

Today celebrates Day 8 of my 31 Days of Gratitude…Snow.

I have to admit, I have not always been a fan of snow.  In fact, I have worked really hard to embrace the season of Winter.  I decided that I had two choices: I could be a grumpy pants and grumble about the cold and snow for three months or find joy in 2 feet of snow and negative wind chills.

Was this journey a challenge for me? YES!  But, I have learned to embrace Winter as a time to rest.  A time for reflection.  A time to just be still.  Winter is a time for comfort…warm food and warm company. Winter is a time for HOME.

So, if you are ever in West Michigan, come sit with me by the fireside, for I have stories to spin…

Love Yourself…Embrace Yourself…Just Be You…

  1. Three months! You are lucky. Here in Quebec it’s five months. I like warmth and it is never too warm for me. But I do agree with you Roda. We have to make the most of it. For me, it is skiing. I am grateful that pretty soon I will go skiing with the kids… yay!

      1. It’s the same in Quebec. We often have big snow storm in March. The good thing is that I walk to go to work. Don’t need to take the car or bus. Otherwise, it would be a nightmare.
