The Gift of Gratitude: Grass

Today celebrates Day 2 of my 31 Days of Gratitude.   It is this time of year that I miss Mother Nature’s soft green grass.  I find myself reliving the feeling of Spring dew drops between my toes, twinkling in the sunlight, during early morning hours.  I dream of its softness against my skin, as I close my eyes and listen for the birds journeying with the wind…

I am grateful, for grass nourishes our animals daily.  Our feathered friends love to discover and consume the tiny crawling treasures, that live among the blades.  This green gift blankets our earth, retaining moisture and stabilizing our soil.  Once cut, grass becomes an organic mulch for our gardens, delivering nutrients back to the soil.  Grass is such a beautiful gift for all!

If the weather allows, go outside today and say “hello” to that beautiful blanket of green for me!  Lie down and forget your worries, for just a few moments…

Dream a little dream…

Love Yourself…Embrace Yourself…Just Be You…

  1. Beautiful picture! I love how you highlight the little things that we often take for granted. Thank you for sharing. Everything has a place and role in our lives even if we don’t realize it. Have a wonderful weekend.
