Be Still

Over the past week, I have noticed many struggling with the emotions of life.  It is during difficult times that I remind myself of the lotus flower.  This was one of the first “Be Still” posts I wrote, on Growing Self.  I hope it is a positive reminder for those experiencing difficulty…

We have so much to learn from the lotus flower…

This flowering plant grows from the bottom of steams and murky ponds.  When ready, it rises above the water and blooms, sharing its beauty for all the world to see.  When darkness blankets the Earth, the Lotus closes its petals and descends back into the depths of the water, only to resurface the next day.  This blooming miracle is fully grounded in the muddy earth, yet reaches for the heavens, daily.

How amazing is it that this stunning flower resides in such muddy waters, yet remains unsoiled…

Regardless of your life’s struggles, remember the lesson of the Lotus flower.

Live in Full Bloom!

Love Yourself…Embrace Yourself…Just Be You…

  1. The lotus flower is indeed an amazing flower. You are right to remind us of this wonderful message. And on the heels of that, I thought of this beautiful expression: Every flower has to grow through dirt!

      1. Lol, it’s me. My cape has a more incognito appearance but my words were burning and fluttering to escape. I’ll be around, not exactly as before but here and writing and reading my friends’ words.
        Happy Thanksgiving. 😘

      2. I am so happy you are back! I understand incognito! I had to block a certain individual and unfollow due to inappropriate comments and stalking like behavior. I am sure you know who I am referring to!😉

      3. Me too! You know… I’m trying to think who it could be…I can kind of guess but I’m not sure! I get your reasons though.
I won’t stalk you, lol. Just love you lots 💜

      4. This person popped up all of the time on your posts as well. After her cruel comments about my marriage I was finished. Be kind. Love. Do not judge. It is not difficult.

      5. My kids are in New York City, marching in the Macy’s day parade. I’m spending the morning watching the television. I can’t think of the last time I turned the TV on! It is strange without them here but I’m enjoying some quiet time as well
