Be Still

Today, my baby girl went to her first homecoming dance.  We picked out her dress and shoes together.  She asked me to do her hair.  She wanted her wonderful group of girlfriends to come to our home and eat dinner, together.  She still wanted her Mom involved in her special event…

As I dropped her off at the dance, she turned around in the misty rain, hugged me and said,  “Thank you…I love you”.  As she turned to continue on with her friends, my tears started to flow.  She is a teenager, but still wants her Mom in her life.   I am not perfect, but I know I have done something right.   I am blessed with an intelligent, kind and beautiful daughter who is truly an angel.

Today, Be Still.  Take a moment to reflect on your loved ones.  Cherish your moments together.  Embrace one another.  And always remember to say, out loud…

“Thank you…I love you”

Love Yourself…Embrace Yourself…Just Be You…

  1. Love this Roda! I feel the same way when either my son or daughter tell me that they miss me and want to spend the day with me. We climb together, go shopping or just sit and watch a movie but it is more special to me when they initiate the time together. They are in their 20s and I know that they have to carve out time to be with me from their busy schedules-means the world to us moms! 🙂
