For the Love of Zinnias

Zinnias are truly happy flowers! 9-18-018 They are easy annuals to grow from seed and come in a variety of colors and shapes.   These beauties can withstand the hot summer days of July and August, here in Michigan, and continue to feed the bees throughout the cooler Fall days.

I like to grow zinnias throughout the garden, not only for long-lasting color, but for their tendency to attract butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.9-18-17 116

Zinnias make the perfect choice for cut flowers.  There is nothing like a rainbow bouquet of freshly cut zinnias to brighten any room.

  1. Oh Yes, For the love of Zinnias!! Last year was the first time I planted Zinnias. I was amazed to see such strong and sturdy plants! And the Flowers….. We can’t help but fall in love with them!! I stay in India, they not native here, but they are surviving quite well, may be because of the hybrid seeds.
