Be Still…

In keeping with the Hawaiian theme, these photos remind me that there is always a way, even when life is really hard! There are days that can be extremely challenging!  Over the past 48 hours, I have been faced with many “1st world problems”…  The wheel bearings broke on our trailer, loaded with 400 lbs of chickens, on the way to the processor.  The kitchen remodel is still not complete.  The evil fox killed my dear, sweet Big White.  The brand new dishwasher has an electronic screen that says, “leak detected” and will not turn on.  The weather is cold and my seedlings are unhappy.    I think I need to call the “WHAAAAAAAmbulance”!

These minor set backs are annoying, yet I remind myself that it could always be worse!  No one was injured, chickens included…at least not due to the trailer malfunction!  The kitchen remodel will end…eventually! I believe I have taken care of the fox once and for all.  The “dishwasher” will be ME for a few more days.  The weather will improve!  I remind myself to have gratitude.  Where there is a will, there is a way.

If vegetation can grow in barren, rocky lava formations, anything is possible!  Push yourself to grow, even in the most challenging and undesirable conditions.  You will only come out stronger…

  1. Very true! Challenges in life- big & small- are inevitable. But we can always choose how to respond.
If we are optimistic, we’ll realize that most challenges aren’t as big as they initially seem to be. Great post! ๐Ÿ™‚
